The County participates in "Active Volunteers in Douglas" (AVID), a group formed to promote, maintain and support volunteerism in all county communities and to provide avenues for recognition and encouragement of volunteers. ESL Tutors Needed
ESL (English as a Second Language) Program needs volunteer tutors to teach English as a second language to adult students. ESL volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, and willing to perform 1-2 hours of service per week. Training and instructional materials are provided at no cost to the tutor.
